Bursting fireworks. Fresh watermelon. Cold lemonade and hot dogs on the grill. There are certain things we always associate with our nation’s Independence Day. Of course, on July 4, 1776, there were no fireworks displays, no parades and no cook outs. In fact, for many of our founding fathers declaring independence from Great Britain meant a death warrant for them and their families.
This year, I’d like to invite you to add a new tradition to your favorite 4th of July activities. Celebrate our nation’s independence taking a stand for smaller, more efficient government. Join my campaign as we participate in many of our communities’ favorite holiday activities. And, spread the word that you also agree that we need lasting solutions to put America on the right track.
My campaign and I will be at events all around Virginia’s Fourth Congressional District and we’d like you and your family to join us. Whether to walk in parades, pass out cold water, or help us invite folks to take our 10 for 2010 challenge, we would like to partner with you to get the word out about our campaign. Join us!
