We face a $13 trillion debt and a $1.4 trillion deficit, and yet Democrats in Congress have opted not to do a budget this year. Instead, for the first time in history since the Budget Act, Democrats will attempt to "deem" a budget passed. This tactic is similar to the "deeming" ploy used to pass the healthcare bill.
This failure in leadership is unacceptable. American families know that when finances are tight, it is more important - not less important - to have a budget. Especially during tough economic times, American taxpayers deserve a federal budget that has been scrutinzed and properly vetted. For the leadership of Congress to simply refuse to do a budget, and then attempt to "deem" a budget as passed, in unprecedented.
