A publishing company, Wilder Publications, has come under fire for publishing the following warning label on a paperback copy of the Constitution:
“This book is a product of its time and does not reflect the same values as it would if it were written today. Parents might wish to discuss with their children how views on race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, and interpersonal relationships have changed since this book was written before allowing them to read this classic work.”

The Constitution is the foundational document of our nation. It is the primary law of our land. We should be encouraged that more and more Americans, including our youngest generations, are interested in reading the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. Perhaps now more than ever, these documents need to be protected rather than become objects of political correctness.
I’d like to know what you think. Does our Constitution needs a warning label?

Give me a break! No we don't need a warning label on the constitution! This is outrageous.

I think that by adding a "warning label" to the constitution, we are just opening the door for invalidating it. Call me Chicken Little if you want, but saying that it "does not reflect the same values as it would if it were written today." just leaves the door wide open. Our constitution is already under assault, and this company has just made it easier for the other guy.
